Passion/Hobbies:
Perhaps what I am most passionate about and determined to achieve is change. I believe my passion lies in bringing about change in my life, in my city, in my country and above all, my society. I believe mankind, as intelligent beings, should transcend worldly barriers and achieve heights that no one did think were possible. In the twenty-first century, the epitome of technological advancements and industrialization, mankind stands at having completed 60% of the world’s resources. I believed humanity is capable of developing a strategy that does not resuscitate destruction large scale destruction for creation. The code for doing so lies both within us and beyond us. From our anatomy where thousands of cells die each day, only to rebirth even more and from space itself the destruction of a star creates a black hole, believe it is our intellect that will be our salvation. Other than that, I am highly passionate about public speaking activities such as sports i.e. rock climbing, and most of all, social work and volunteering. Particularly close to my heart is the environment and its destruction, which I believe is the manifestation of achieving short-term goals of individuals, which harm the long term goals of everyone in what is known as the tragedy of the commons. I quite enjoy debating as well.
Any other significant achievement:
Within my short lifetime I believe I have achieved with regards to my long-term aims. Beginning in the summer of 2016 where I volunteered at Shaukat Khanum memorial cancer hospital. And when I went on as an internee at the social innovation in lab in Lahore University of management sciences where I worked with alumni to counter taboo topics in a writing forum online known as chai chalk. In the summer of 2017, I went on a 5 week internship at WWF-Pakistan, I went on a 5 week internship at WWF-Pakistan, and was elucidated on how lacking Pakistan is in our resources. I’ve also worked a social volunteer in exercise known as dawat where we distributed food in rural areas of Pakistan furthermore, I have won every MUN I have attended, and was also the youngest in my debates team.

I have started my education with Mushat Base so it is like a basis for my passion about fighter jets, Air Force and anything related to Armed Forces. I like to help anyone I find and it sort of qualifies as my passion. Whenever I am somewhere I want to make a difference and set my eyes on the goal. I am very passionate about winning and learning. I have very diverse hobbies. They change from month to month. I like reading, art (drawing), listening to music and staring up at the sky looking at the stars or pointing out fighter jets. I like to spend time with my family and it’s a kind of a hobby that I talk to my mother at night and tell her all about the events of the day. I like going out and seeing what I am going to change in my country. It is my top priority. I look out the window whenever I am in the car. I look at people. It’s a very strange hobby but it also helps me in getting to know more about who they are and what are they going to do with their life and how I can influence that. I want to bring change so all of my hobbies about passion are somewhat related to that.
Hamza Saeed

Hamza Saeed

Profile:
  • my name is Hamza Saeed and I have spent my entire life in Karachi. This is the first time I’m leaving the city, which is ironic considering that it’s such a challenging yet fun experience. I’m from Cedar College, AS, and I’ve been to 5 different schools throughout my life, 3 from grade 1 to 11. My life is shaped around only a few things.
  • Become a better version of myself
  • Learn everything
  • The first one is pretty straightforward. It is a rule I’ve been following since as far as I can remember, even back till 6th or 7th. So is the 2nd one, to be honest: I never give up an opportunity to learn something new. I learn as much as I can. I study things people tell me are above my level, but that has never been a problem.

Achievements I think I have:
  • I’ve been studying French, German, Latin, Greek, high Valyrian and sindhi since a year.
  • I solve the rubiks cube for fun
  • I read philosophy a lot (I love plato)
  • I have a youtube channel where I make stuff with friends.
  • The next big part of my life is public speaking. I do MUNs, parliamentary and other forms of publics speaking and debating (to learn about new opinions, ideas and ways of thinking).
  • I love learning, reading, arguing and most of all, understanding.

Debating! I adore having to reason and think logically to formulate arguments on issues that one would never even have considered in first glance. It makes one think about even the most miniscule of impacts of policies in the status quo. I also love reading, and writing. I write shirt stories and have attempted to work on novels-whether with friends or on my own. I’m so passionate about reading that if my mother needs to ground me, she’ll ground me from reading books. I blog, and am working on the school yearbook. I love music, and playing the violin, guitar, singing, obsessing more about movie soundtracks, and musicals rather than actual songs. Teaching is another passion. I teach junior debates afterschool, and this ranges from teaching my grandma English to helping my sister with homework.
Significant achievements:
  • 2nd in Pakistan, World Science Day
  • National Champion in Dawn Spelling Bee
  • Won school Science Fair three years in a row
  • Have ranked in the top ten at U19 debate tournaments

actually I try to do everything but my hobbies are Art, Gardening, Baking and doing exercise(but not in a cold environment). I am really passionate about art and literature and I do plan to make something out of it in the near future. Perhaps a side hobby or a part time job? People do ask me to do commission but yeah mum and dad don’t want me to. Still my art teachers back in middle school told me to pursue in my future. I do have an Instagram art account, @alee.zart deleted that 5 times before.
Achievements:
I’m good at math. Idk but I think. One time I didn’t study for the final yet managed to score 95-forget a formula eh. I am a hard working student, I take responsibilities serious. I’ve participated and represented my school in interschool debates, art contests, poetry contests and I am part of the school cricket, basketball, athletics team. I was the captain of middle school football girls’ team captain, can’t say if I’m good at it. In my opinion I believe that consider that to be a huge achievement for #someonelikeme, and I’ll showcase the best of me here. I am the fastest at my school among the girls but my sister is catching on to me. I have written a few accounts and articles that I am proud of and my teachers too. I aspire that I can be able to achieve something in it. I know there are better and more talented people than me but that only means that I have to keep improving and never give up! I do photography and eating too, I just started but I’m improving drastically.

  • I also participated in a writing competition in 5th grade where we had to write a 1500 word story. Again I thought I had done well until only recently my friends group and I shared old stories and I realized, I had no continuity and abruptly moved from scene to scene. But I also realized that back then, I was afraid of screwing up as I used words I don’t know now. And that inspired me to remain fearless.
